The Board

The Board is comprised of family members, self advocates and community members. The primary responsibility of Board is to serve the organization as a whole by working collectively to come to consensus on governance issues.

The Executive Director acts as a resource person to the Board.

Maureen Emmons, Melanie Kitchen, Juan Mosquera, Betty Mogensen, Nancy McDougall, Pat Maloney 

Committees:

There are a few task groups of the Board. Each group brings proposals forward to the Board for consideration. The Board is then responsible for taking the proposal into consideration and making the final decision.

Development Committee:

The Development Committee is responsible for:

• Preparing a Corporate Donor Campaign through the Breakfast Series
• Preparing a presentation for Corporate Donors in order to secure their ongoing participation and support
• Annual Appeal
• Reviewing all Foundation grant submissions
• Creating promotional and educational materials
• Preparing Case for Support
• Forecasting fundraising requirements in alignment with Strategic Plan
